You have to love the work you do… Effectively selling to supermarkets requires keeping your finger on the pulse of what’s happening at store level. This means collecting firsthand knowledge from the people that work there. I lead by getting out there and collecting as much firsthand information as possible. I share this info with my food brand partners and this helps us to make educated decisions when launching/managing our items.
If you don’t love doing this, you don’t belong in the food industry. All of the articles and reports on consumer trends in the world do not compare to firsthand feedback from people working on the front lines in supermarkets
